Item Description
ABOUT THE BEAR: (more detailed photographs to follow)
Say HELLO to a brand new addition to the Easthampton Bear Fest! Have You Seen Me? has been created by Deshria, the same artist who created the small "Rubber Ducky, You're the One" bear which went missing on July 5. This amazing new bear has Sherlock & Watson ducks gathering clues about the missing Rubber Ducky Bear. On the back is the local Police Duck helping a smaller duck cross the road. We also see the Milk Man Duck with his "missing" Milk Cartons.
ABOUT THE ARTIST:
Deshria was born in Germany. She received her BFA at MassART with a concentration in Illustration. While there she took the opportunity to study at the Diseart Institution in Ireland. In Ireland she rediscovered her passion for art as well as her sense of humor. The magical artistry of Deshria subtly illustrates the distinctions between her inner and outer perceptions. To that end, these bold works seek to manifest feelings, thoughts, and words into physical reality. To create Other World reality paintings, Deshria exaggerates what is seen - her colors are unusually vivid and saturated while chiaroscuro lighting and strong sunlight infuse the canvas. Sometimes she will omit all but one color to emphasize a perspective, often choosing themes that reveal the magic of the mundane. Deshria considers a painting successful when it captures the emotions first solicited by a theme or experience. Her pieces can be seen in private collections throughout the Americas and Europe.
