Item Description

Martin Barooshian's "Elephant Heads" is a richly colored woodcut with an India-inspired feel. Bright blue flowers are set against a brown pattern with two round elephant heads placed in the middle. This limited edition image is centered on an embossed cream background and is signed. This piece measures 15x16 and is framed under glass.

Born in Chelsea, MA in 1929, Martin Barooshian has lived and studied all over the world: New York, Paris, the Middle East, and India, to name a few. Barooshian's work is described as "inviting you to acquire a contemplative spirit and peer into an unpredictable world filled with life affirming surrealist fantasies and joyous abstract design." His works are in the permanent collections of numerous leading international museums.
