After selling more than 25,000 of our original LightCaps to thousands of happy customers, we decided to make a good thing even better. We took all your suggestions and matched them with our designer's ideas and are proud to offer the most unique and versatile lantern ever available.
The new LightCap300 represents the culmination of three years of feedback and testing. It is brighter, lighter, stronger and easier to use. The sealed, internal NiMH battery last up to 15% longer on a charge. Instead of a single LED, there are now four super-bright white LEDs for 4x the light. The LightCap300 is bright!
There is also a new sealed push-button style switch which is easier to use with cold hands. The integrated, epoxy coated solar panel is built directly into the cap to eliminate unnecessary plastic parts, and the light sensor is built into the charging circuitry.
The outer cap is made from tough poly-carbonate instead of polypropylene, making it more rugged while retaining it's color (either smoke or red). Finally, the built-in swivel retaining ring has slots and holes for easily hanging your LightCap300 in your tent or on a tree, whether attached to your bottle or not. Our new locking retaining cord can be quickly detached from either the bottle or the cap.
