Item Description
This Compass Rose Table is by Teresa Mowery of the Patina Studio in Tiverton, RI.
Completely Rhode Island-made, the table has a base of reclaimed mahogany, fashioned in a design by Teresa. The copper top is hand-formed and affixed with a crimped edging, and then the compass rose is etched into its surface. The following quote by Oliver Wendal Holmes is etched into the border: "The great thing in this world is not so much where we stand, as in what direction we are moving...We must sail sometimes with the wind and sometimes against it but we must sail and not drift, nor lie at anchor."
Furniture from the Patina Studio is found locally at the DeBlois Gallery in Newport, RI, Night Gallery in Plymouth, MA, as well as in fine art and furniture galleries outside the region.
Item Special Note
This etched copper table has a mahogany base and stands 24" tall
