Item Description
This is Sing Over Me - a joyful work by artist Mary Jane Q. Cross of Newport, NH, a celebrated artist with an inspiring backstory: Medication caused her to develop a tremor in her right arm. She has since relearned painting: 95% of her work is now fingerpainting, with brush strokes deftly applied using a prosthetic device. Mary Jane's style is primarily colorist, though she also describes herself as a "closet realist!"
The original Sing Over Me was in the 2008 National Exhibit of the Oil Painters of America.
This giclee on canvas is a joint donation by Mary Jane Q. Cross and the Royal Gallery, on Providence's historic Federal Hill.
Item Special Note
It is #9 of 500 and measures 37"H x 31"W in its wooden frame.
