Item Description

This is a rare 17x21 framed SPY reprint from the British Vanity Fair's pages. A Vincent Brooks Day & Son Lithograph, "Chess" is from the June 2, 1888 edition of the British Vanity Fair! This print is framed under glass in a gold frame.

This piece depicts J.H. Blackburne, who was nicknamed "Black Death" because he dominated British chess during the latter part of the 19th century.

A striking addition to any office or study.
