Registered landscape architects will meet with you to design a custom sketch for your property.

Our Process

Whether developing a full master plan or a small, intimate perennial garden, proper design is the first step to a successful, aesthetically appealing landscape that will be enjoyed for years. Our best attribute is our ability to create a quality design that focuses on the client's needs and choosing the proper plant for the proper location. The design process evolves over the course of various meetings and on many different levels. Below is a rough breakdown of the various design phases and services that are provided by M.J. Design ASSOCIATES, INC.

The Initial Consultation.
Meet at the residence to get a feel for the location and review the client's needs, requirements, timeframe, and scope of work. Inform client about M.J. Design ASSOCIATES, INC. and the level of quality and service we provide to each and every client.

Proposal for Design Services.
Provide a detailed proposal and outline for design services and create an overall budget for services offered.

The Site Inventory and Analysis.
Upon approval of design proposal, this visit is used to gather information about the site. Record existing utilities, plant material and any other information needed to complete an accurate base plan.

Preliminary Design.
After the base plan is set, rough sketches of design concepts will be completed. These concepts will be presented to the client for review to make sure we are moving in the direction the clients have envisioned.

Master Plan.
Once the conceptual designs are agreed upon, more detailed drawings will be created with specific plant names and any hardscaping details will be laid out. This phase could include a series of meetings to discuss and finalize the design. The drawing will be completed, color rendered if necessary, and presented to the client for their keeping. This plan will also be detailed for use in final landscape installation.

Construction Documents.
If required, detailed working drawings can be prepared for construction and installation. These would include specifications for building hardscape features as well as plant materials and quantities.

Location of design work limited to Union, Franklin, Delaware, Madison, and Pickaway Counties in Ohio only.

For the winning bidder:  Upon the conclusion of the auction, the credit card you used to register for bidding will be charged for the winning bid amount.  The winning bidder will be placed in touch with M.J. Design Associates to make arrangements for the landscape design.
