30th Annual FCBA Foundation Charity Online Auction is Now Open!

Running from October 31 - November 14, 2019, the Federal Communications Bar Association Foundation will be auctioning off a number of fun and unique items to bid on to raise money for the auction beneficiaries - and the more items we have the more money we can raise, so we're asking for your help!

The Young Lawyers Committee of the Federal Communications Bar Association (FCBA) and the FCBA Foundation will hold their 30th Annual Charity Auction on Thursday, November 7, 2019, at the Sphinx Club at the Almas Temple, 1315 K Street, NW, Washington, DC, from approximately 6:00 – 10:00 p.m. Admission is free and the event is open to the public.

About the Auction Beneficiaries

Proceeds from this year’s Charity Auction will benefit two great, local charities—The Modern Classrooms Project and the FCBA Foundation. The Modern Classrooms Project empowers educators to meet the unique needs of every learner. The Project’s award-winning instructional model leverages educational technology and broadband/WiFi connections to ensure that every student has unlimited access to knowledge, learns at his/her own unique pace, and truly masters each skill before moving on to the next.  Funds raised from this year’s Charity Auction will directly support The Modern Classrooms Project’s incoming group of teaching fellows as they redesign their classrooms to better serve over 2,000 students from low-income communities in the DC area. The FCBA Foundation will use proceeds from the Charity Auction to support its annual scholarship program.

About the Charity Auction

The Charity Auction is one of Washington, DC’s premier “must-attend” events for the communications industry. The event features a live auction hosted by a professional auctioneer, silent auctions, online auction, and raffle drawings. Attendees should expect surprises and new and exciting prizes building on last year’s event (over $90,000 raised), including vacation packages; consumer electronics; tickets to Capital One Arena events, concerts, theater shows, and various professional and collegiate sporting events; dinners; lunches; spa packages; and gift certificates from area businesses.
