From October 1st through October 15th, 2020, Forgotten Children, Inc. (FCI) will host our ?Shining the Light On Human Trafficking? Online Auction. Funds raised will go toward rescuing, restoring and educating victims of Human Trafficking and Sexual Exploitation and to support programs at our sites in Long Beach, Lynwood and San Bernardino.

During this time of uncertainty brought on by the COVID-19 pandemic, FCI is working hard to fight on behalf of those most vulnerable. Not all industries are shutdown; in fact, sexual exploitation hasn?t stopped -- not even during this global health crisis. Our emergency calls have increased by 40% since last year.

Online Auction Guidelines

I need to know when the auction countdown will start.

The Auction will end on October 15, 2020 at 6:00 PM PDT.  A warning of the approaching closure of the Auction will be provided 24-hours prior to closing. Bidding on an item will stop when the Auction is closed.

All sales are final. There will be no exchanges or refunds unless otherwise noted. All items are ?as is.? Forgotten Children, Inc. makes no warranties or representations of any kind or nature, either expressed or implied, with respect to the property. Forgotten Children, Inc. has attempted to describe and catalog items correctly, but does not warrant or represent and shall in no way be responsible for the correctness of descriptions, genuineness, authorship, provenance, or condition of the items. No statement made in the item description, or made orally at the auction or elsewhere, shall be deemed such a warranty, representation, or assumption of liability.

Suggested values have been supplied by the donors and are not guaranteed by Forgotten Children, Inc.

It is the successful bidder?s responsibility to make the necessary arrangements for trips or other items, unless otherwise specified in the item description or relevant certificate. Certificates issued are one-of-a-kind and, in most instances, cannot be replaced if lost or stolen. Expiration dates are firm and, in most cases, cannot be extended.

After the close of auction, the winner?s credit card will be charged and a receipt will be emailed to the email address on file.

Auction winners are responsible for picking up their item(s). Items will be held for a period of one month, after which they will be re-sold to the next highest bidder. Arrangements can be made to have the item(s) shipped to you; you will incur additional shipping and insurance fees for this service.

All alcohol must be picked up in person due to shipping restrictions.

The auction item value listed is an estimate of fair market value. Items have not been appraised unless so noted. The amount you pay above this fair market value estimate is normally tax deductible as a charitable contribution. Please consult your tax adviser to clarify the amount of deduction.

Appropriate sales tax will be applied to all items and will be included in your total Online Auction bill.
