During the holidays, we are continually reminded to cast aside our cynicism, reach down deep, and conjure a little gratitude. Sometimes, that task is easier than others—but it’s always worthwhile.

For Thanks Any/Way: A Photographic Exploration of Gratitude, we at Tin Barn Vineyards solicited thankful interpretations from artists around the country.

Included are images from residents of The Pathway Home, an innovative veterans’ recovery program where Tin Barn will donate proceeds from the sale of artwork.

Where does my bid money go?

The Pathway Home is an innovative program for veterans with post traumatic stress. Located in Napa County and accepting patients from accross the nation, Pathway offers a new mental health and wellness program, computer and multimedia education, employment programs, oral history programs, and PTSD and substance misuse counseling—a community of resources and activities that cannot easily be duplicated elsewhere. Residential treatment lasts four months and costs:
