Item Description
This print is from a scratchboard artwork created by Rich Cayou of Ku Designs. Scratchboard is the method of scratching away the black coating on special paper to reveal the white under coloration. This removal process reveals the image of the subject of the artists vision. Working in a removal process is often a bit more challenging than working in the traditional additive process such as drawing.
Measurements: Image is 8"x10" in plastic artists sleeve, ready for your frame.
About: Rich Cayou
Richard Cayou is a Colorado native and self taught artist, who enjoys the state for all that it has to offer.
His interest in art started approximately 18 years ago, but he has been interested in photography for 40+ years. After 14 years of cutting steel artwork, he transitioned into framed art, through the use of scratchboard. Scratchboard is a form of direct engraving.
He has been doing scratchboard for approximately 6 years and enjoys this media for the amount of detail and realism that it allows him to incorporate. He uses his own photos for reference in his scratchart.
He is a Signature member of the International Society of Scratchboard Artists.
