SALES: All sales are final. No exchanges or refunds.
BIDS: All bids placed are final and are not reversible.
WINNERS: All winners will be notified by email after the auction closes on May 8, 2011.
PICK-UP: All items must be picked up from Marymount High School during the week of May 9, 2011, starting Tuesday, May 10. If out of the area, shipping arrangements may be made, shipping costs will apply. (Gift certificates will be mailed at no charge for out of area Bidders)
ITEM VALUES: Values set forth are estimates only, provided by donors, and are not warranted by Marymount High School for tax purposes or for general value.
EXPIRATION DATES: Unless otherwise stated, most auction items and services must be used within one year (May 7, 2012) at which point the offer is no longer valid.
TRAVEL CERTIFICATES: All hotel and airline certificates are based upon availability. Please make your reservations early to avoid disappointment. Additionally, holiday periods such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are often not available.
GIFT CERTIFICATES: It is the buyer’s responsibility to initiate contact with the donor of items such as vacation homes, tickets and services to arrange for receipt of the purchased item. As a courtesy, please make contact within one month.
LIABILITY RELEASE: Purchasers of auction items, services or activities agree that neither Marymount High School nor the Homeport Committee shall be subject to any liability arising from, or in any way connected with, such items, services or activities.
TAX REPORTING: The amount of any contribution that may be deductible for federal income tax purposes is limited to the excess of any money contributed by the donor over the value of goods or services provided. For auction contributions, a good faith estimate of the value of the goods or services will be shown on your invoice. Please keep this invoice for tax reporting purposes. Naturally, any questions with respect to the tax treatment of your contributions should be referred to your accountant or tax advisor.
LIVE AUCTION: For Live Auction items, the auctioneer has final authority to decide who has the winning bid and to settle any dispute in the Live Auction.
DISCLAIMER: Marymount has the right to decline any bids that do not meet the guidelines set forth in the Auction Rules, or do not comply with or fulfill the Special Instructions/Restrictions that may be defined for selected auction items.
