The Washington-on-the-Brazos State Park Association is a non-profit friends group that supports the facilities, programs and activities at Washington-on-the-Brazos State Historic Site, operated by Texas Parks and Wildlife Department, and the Star of the Republic Museum, operated by Blinn College.

Washington-the-Brazos is the site of the signing of the Texas Declaration of Independence from Mexico on March 2, 1836.  This year commemorates the 175th anniversary of independence. This auction contains absolute “one-of-a-kind” items that will never be available again.  Pick a panel from THE BIG PICTURE; UNIQUE, HAND-CRAFTED PECAN WOOD, ENGRAVED PEN; OR A SEEDLING FROM A 180+ YEAR OLD TREE.  Own a piece of history.

 

Hand-crafted Pecan wood "Signers" pens

A master craftsman has created a unique series of high quality, ballpoint pens.  Each pen is uniquely hand crafted from the La Bahia Pecan tree, located within the Park and over 180 years old, a living witness to the events of March 1836. Each pen bears the laser engraved signature of one of the signers of the Texas Declaration of Independence.  Each pen comes with a 175th Anniversary commemorative case, which also bears the name and signature of the delegate from the Convention.
