About British Soldiers Fund, Inc.
British Soldiers Fund, Inc. is an American-based charity which provides lifetime aid and support for serving and veteran British and Allied soldiers and their families in times of need. We promote awareness of the needs and challenges our soldiers and their families face, and raise funds to provide direct financial support. The individuals we assist include the wounded, the elderly, the unemployed, families, children, and those dealing with the psychological effects of war. The work we do is vital.
For decades, the United Kingdom and the United States have shared a special relationship unique among the countries of this world. From the alliances of two world wars to joint peacekeeping and humanitarian missions around the world, the United States and the United Kingdom have had and continue to share more than a commitment to freedom and democracy—we have also pledged to send our men and women in uniform to secure those principles.
Today’s conflict and peacekeeping needs around the world are taking an ever-growing toll on our service men and women and their families. From physical injuries to Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) and Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI), to coping with loss and lives challenged by the devastating effects of war, our soldiers and their families need our support more than ever. Governments and military agencies are strained under increasing need and shrinking available resources. As a result, many of our service men and women and their families continue to suffer because of their service on our behalf. Our goal at British Soldiers Fund is to provide the necessary support and resources to soldiers and their families in need—real need.
Our grants provide hardship relief, mobility assistance, home modifications, educational support, annuities, home care fees, respite funding, and survivor and family financial support. We are particularly proud to be partnered with ABF The Soldiers’ Charity, the British Army’s National Charity in the United Kingdom, whose patron is Her Majesty The Queen.
British Soldiers Fund, Inc. is a publicly-supported charity, exempt from tax under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code, and can accept tax-deductible contributions to the full extent of the law. EIN 45-2448686
