Learn More About What You Are Supporting
When you bid on these items, you are supporting the parents, children, and entire families that make Bozeman, Montana such an incredible place to live. Thrive exists to ensure that every child will have an opportunity to succeed and grow to become a valuable member of our community.
Thrive has the following five signature programs:
Child Advancement Project (CAP) - children are mentored in the schools for one hour a week by community volunteers to provide academic and social enrichment. This program recently became one of three mentoring programs to be nationally recognized by NREPP (Nationally Recognized Evidence-based Programs and Practices).
Parent Liaison - parent liaisons work with both parents and teachers in the schools to set children up for success. Parent Liaisons also teach free parenting classes called Love and Logic.
Girls for a Change - girls are empowered to discover their inherent strengths and build the confidence to go after their dreams. Thrive recently adopted the national program, Girls on the Run, that trains young girls for a culminating 5k event while learning about themselves in the process.
Parent Place - families are given the opportunity to connect to resources, classes, activities, and each other. One of the most popular activities in the Parent Place is Dynamite Dads where father figures and the children in their lives attend a free event once a month such as touring the museum, finding a pumpkin at the local patch, or snowshoeing.
Partnership Project - intensive home-visiting program to support and give resources (such as help finding housing, quality childcare, and a consistent job) to teen and young parents with children ages 0 to 6.
