Thank you for your interest in Cunningham Children's Home and the 10th Annual Festival of Quilts. The Festival of Quilts celebrates a special tradition at Cunningham; since 1895, every young person that comes to live at Cunningham is given a hand-made quilt to enjoy and treasure forever.
 
The Festival of Quilts Cunningham’s largest fundraising event of the year. The two day Festival, held annually in Urbana, Illinois includes more than 90 show and auction quilts. For the first time we are offering two unique quilts for online auction: 
 
Orange Krush Illini Bed Quilt
This one of a kind quilt was donated members of the Orange Krush (Fighting Illini Basketball’s student cheering section) and embodies the spirit of the Illini. Featuring 20 vintage and contemporary t-shirts celebrating the Krush and Illini basketball, this quilt would make a perfect addition to any Illini fan’s home. 
 
Salad Sampler by Carolyn Stine-  The Salad Sampler is a beautifully hand pieced and custom quilted wall hanging measuring 58" x 73". This unique piece has been appraised by the American Quilter's Society for insurance purposes at $6,550. This quilt is made up of 12 blocks, each one a masterpiece including hand applique and embroidery.

Cunningham Children's Home is a safe place where children and adolescents with serious emotional and behavioral disabilities can heal, learn, and grow.
 
Founded in 1895, today Cunningham offers residential treatment, specialized foster care, transitional living, independent living, vocational education, and therapeutic special education to children and adolescents ages 5-21.
