David was an amazing teacher, artist, innovator, friend and husband. His gentle demeanor and willingness to “share it all” made him one of the top instructors in the world of art glass.

Here is what a few of you have shared…..

“Claudia thank you so very much for sharing your amazing husband with so many of us. I was blessed beyond words to have taken one of his classes. He was truly a genius.”

“I never met David.....but feel as though I know him through you tube and his videos......his passing is tragic and he will be missed.”

“David made such a huge impact and difference in glass fusion and in lives like mine. So thankful for the opportunity to learn from such a talented man....and get to know you both. Love and hugs to you Claudia...and to your family.”

“This is Claudia, David's wife. Mark and I returned late last night with my beloved, now another turn in the road. We have been receiving such an outpouring of love and support since David's passing. I am thankful and so blessed to have been a part of David's life and journey. My husband was a very loving and generous man, a very talented artist hopeful to make a difference in the art of sand tapestry. With his discovery of glass frit, he was eager to pursue all it's options, turning now his focus from 'sand to glass'. He never seized to amaze me, always looking outside the box, always trying to find another way maybe easier, faster and less expensive, oh yes that's my husband. Of course, not the traditional way, oh no, 'hey how about working vertically?' He kept inspired, whether it was through his love of nature or his love he shared with fellow artists around him, he welcomed being a part of the bigger picture. 'Staying creative' was his motto, what he always strived for within himself and for others. Again I am thankful for the endless loving messages I've received, your generosity is truly heartfelt. I have always been so proud of David and his accomplishments. I am numb, but I feel his strength. Please know that I am grateful and it is so comforting to know that David was so loved, that he will be missed, but never forgotten.”
