The online portion of 2014 Golf Charity Tournament is now open. The auction will run from October 20, 2014 to November 9, 2014, with the live event taking place on November 17, 2014 at Braemar Country Club in Tarzana, California. Proceeds go to Parents for Carpenter in order to support the Enrichment Programs such as music, PE, dance, a science lab, media lab, art program and classroom aids at Carpenter Community Charter, a public charter school in Studio City, California.

This inaugural event will begin at 8:00 AM, where you’ll be greeted by the friendly staff at Braemar and shown to the registration table.  Your tee prize includes a FREE pair of Adidas golf shoes, which will be available on the spot in the shoe tent.  From there you can enjoy a continental breakfast, browse the raffle and auction items in person, purchase your xtra game packages or try your luck in the putting contest.  The tournament is a 4 person team scramble, and the shotgun starts at 10:30 AM sharp.  Enjoy free beverages and other goodies on the course and included BBQ lunch while you’re playing.  After your round, head up to the bar to enjoy a cocktail and last peek at the auction goodies before the Raffle and Live Auction begin.  You’ll be seated in the Banquet room for a 3 course plated dinner.  The live auction and raffle will be conducted by a MC while you dine and tournament results will be announced after the conclusion of the auction.  Gross and Net team prizes will be awarded using Braemar’s special handicapping formula, so no index required.  Return home about 6 PM with a full belly, a face sore from laughing, your prizes and a really good story to tell!

Auction items range from playing in a celebrity foursome to exotic vacation getaways, to donated items guaranteed to delight and surprise. So, tell your friends, family, community. Let the bidding begin!

Make Your Bid to Support Carpenter Community Charter Elementary School!

Now is your chance to not only get all the great items you want, but to do it knowing you are helping support our organization and mission.

It’s up to all of us to invest in our children and make sure they receive the best education possible.

Parents for Carpenter (PFC) is the fundraising arm of Carpenter Community Charter. We are a non-profit volunteer fundraising organization that was formed in 1986 by a group of enthusiastic parents for the sole purpose of raising funds to support Carpenter Community Charter. PFC is dedicated to endowing programs that have been curtailed due to federal, state and local budget limits.

We are a community-supported school, and continue to depend on the money we raise to fund programs that LAUSD does not. Through ongoing fundraising programs, like the Golf Tournament, Parents for Carpenter provides all Carpenter students with enrichment programs such as music, physical education, dance, science lab, art and media lab classes.  PFC also funds classroom downsizing, aides for our teachers and administration, educational materials and technology upgrades.  PFC exists because parents want, can and do make a difference.

PFC is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization and donations to it are tax deductible.  Please visit the school website to learn more about who we are and our mission.
