Help us Celebrate the 50th Anniversary of the Wilderness Act!
At this year's event, in recognition of the 50th anniversary of the federal Wilderness Act, we're celebrating Saguaro's 70,905 acres of wilderness. Wilderness is an indispensable part of the American story. Our nation's wild places support our healthiest landscapes, our cleanest waters, our most diverse wildlife, our darkest skies, our most treasured sounds (and quiet), and our greatest legacy to future generations. The Sky Island wilderness of southeastern Arizona is home to plants and animals found nowhere else in the United States -- and it's important to preserve the wild character and intact habitat of these lands for future generations to enjoy. If you'd like to make a special donation to Friends of Saguaro -- and support our efforts to protect Saguaro's Wilderness -- just go to our website at http://www.friendsofsaguaro.org and click on Donate Now.
