Main Article Image

stl250's Cakeway to the West is one part public art exhibit, one part scavenger hunt and one part history lesson - all adding up to a year's worth of fun exploring St. Louis during its 250th anniversary! Throughout the 2014 celebration year, 250 unique cake sculptures decorated by local artists have marked locations of note across our region (click here for a full list of locations).

Tens of thousands of St. Louisans and visitors have participated in the fun and now is your chance to "Take the Cake" and get your very own Cakeway to the West sculpture.

The auction will run from December 15, 2014 to January 1, 2015, with proceeds contributing to the 1764 Society and the developmentment of Founders Plaza.

Make Your Bid and Help Build Founder's Plaza

Continuing to forge connections between our past, present and future, stl250, the volunteer-led nonprofit Master of Ceremonies for the 250th anniversary of St. Louis' founding, has launched the 1764 Society to create Founders Plaza. Located around the statue of Pierre Laclede that stands west of St. Louis City Hall, the plaza will be a gathering place and a fitting setting for this important monument to our region's history. Learn more about the plaza and the 1764 Society on stl250's website by clicking here.
