The April 23 Awards event will feature special VIPs; musical guests, and performances by local all-star musicians such as Joe Grushecky, Billy Price, Donnie Iris, Rick Witkowski, Modern Era Legends nominees, Rusted Root and others; a commemorative Hard Rock Cafe collectible pin created especially for the event; specialty cocktails and hors d’oeuvres and a live and silent auction. Additionally, this year’s event will include a fashion component and other surprises. Auction items include event tickets, gift certificates and many autographed pieces from music and sports legends such as Bruce Springsteen, Fleetwood Mac, KISS, Tony Bennett, Rod Stewart, Joe Perry, Santana, Mario Lemieux, Pedro Alvarez and others.

The nearly 200 members of the Academy of Voters of the Pittsburgh Rock ‘N Roll Legends Awards have accepted an invitation to participate and will receive their ballots directly via email. The public can register to vote at www.PittsburghRockLegends.com between 12:00 AM February 23 until Monday, March 9 at 11:59 PM. They’ll receive a ballot via email within 24 hours. All these votes will be combined with those of the Nominating Committee to determine the winners, who will be announced on March 19. Results will be reviewed by an independent, third-party panel of judges.
