The Center for Coastal Studies needs your help to protect whales, 24-7-365
Up until September 13, 2015, you can bid to help keep whales safe.
The Center’s team has freed more than 150 whales from being entangled in fishing gear, saving them from a slow and painful death. Without our help, these giant animals continue to suffer infection, starvation, even amputation from their injuries.
Many of the whales we save have gone on to have calves and grand-calves of their own, improving their species’ chances for survival.
Our small, highly skilled team members have traveled around the globe to teach others how to perform this dangerous work and we’ve trained hundreds of rescuers in over 20 countries.
