About Our Organization:
The John Burroughs High School Instrumental Music Association exists to support and augment the high school’s Instrumental Music Program. The JBHS IMA serves as the non-profit entity that conducts fundraising to help cover the costs of the band programs' activities that fall outside of state or school district funding. Our parent-run Booster Club also provides volunteer support to program events and competitions.
John Burroughs High School Instrumental Music Program:
The John Burroughs High School Instrumental Music Program aims to provide outstanding music education through the exploration of instrumental music performance in all of it's genres. Upon graduation, students will be prepared to study music at the college level, become an avocational musician, and enjoy a lifetime of appreciation of all forms of music. The music program provides four main groups: Wind Ensemble, Symphonic Band, Concert Band and Jazz Ensemble. Additional groups include: Chamber Ensembles, Honor Groups, Drum Line, Marching Band and Auxiliary.
