House of Blues Music Forward Art Car Auction!

Main Article Image

House of Blues Music Forward Foundation has received what may be the hottest – and coolest – donation in recent years. Houston’s Art Car maven Rebecca Bass, artists Johnny Rojas, Julian Luna and a group of talented Reagan High School student volunteers donated their award-winning creation to the Foundation.

Coming in at nine feet high, eight feet wide and 20 feet long, Electric Ladyland has the heart of a 1981 Mercedes and the exterior of a Rock God. The wheeled wonder is covered in shining chrome, colorful beads and features visual representations of Hendrix’s “Foxy Lady,” “Little Wing,” “Dolly Dagger” – and a sculpture of Jimi himself making flames dance with the stoke of his guitar.
