Located in Chicago's Edgewater neighborhood, Families Together Cooperative Nursery School was founded by parents with a deep desire to be active in their children’s first school experience. Our programs emphasize social, intellectual, language, creative and physical development while meeting a young child’s emotional needs in a secure, inclusive environment. Our play-based curriculum is built around the children's emerging interests and natural sense of wonder, helping to instill self-esteem and enthusiasm for learning. Children at Families Together expand their world by exploring the open classroom and interacting effectively with their peers, teachers and parents—negotiating, cooperating, learning to compromise, sharing, and exchanging ideas. Our collaborative community is at the heart of our school.
