Please support the BYTE Spring Launch & Auction. All proceeds support valuable programming for children on the US/Mexico border.

The Border Youth Tennis Exchange (BYTE) Auction coincides with "Bites for BYTE," a launch party and fundraising event being held in San Francisco's Mission District on May 21st, 2016. All proceeds from the event and auction go towards supporting at-risk youth and healthy models for cross-border interaction.

BYTE is the first bi-national tennis and education program that spans across the US/Mexico border. Through the support of the USTA Foundation and a dedicated team of American and Mexican partners, BYTE is also the only official National Junior Tennis & Learning (NJTL) facility to cross an international boundary.

The BYTE mission is to enhance the lives of American and Mexican children living in the border region. It does so through comprehensive after school programming in low-income communities on both sides of the Arizona/Sonora divide. Beyond providing the individual group programming, BYTE creates international cultural ambassadors by connecting its youth participants to one another through mirror curriculums, joint activities, and simultaneous digital media sessions. In this way, children learn and share with their cross-border counterparts and become positive examples for the potential of international grassroots cooperation.

Through this auction, we are hoping to raise $15,000 to kickoff our summer camp and fall programming. Please help us to reach our goal and raise awareness for this important work. For more information on BYTE check out our website at bytetennis.org or email our director, Charlie Cutler, at ccutler@bordercommunityalliance.com.

Thanks and we hope to hear from you soon!
