Survivor Tails Animal Rescue's 3rd annual Rescue Fever Honorary Gala

ABOUT US

Somewhere between 3–4 million animals die in shelters every year across the U.S. simply because there is no place for them to go. Survivor Tails Animal Rescue was born to help bring those numbers down and in just three years, we are proud to say we have saved nearly 800 dogs and cats.

From routine vetting costs to boarding, training, transport, and marketing, the costs involved with rescuing animals can be astronomical. Our fully volunteer, foster-based 501(c)3 registered nonprofit would cease to exist without the generosity of our supporters.

ABOUT OUR EVENT

To support our work, Survivor Tails is thrilled to be hosting our 3rd Annual Rescue Fever Honorary Gala, in memory of Firefighter Pete Kannler, where we will be heating up the runway with adoptable dogs and their firefighter escorts on Saturday, March 25 at 6pm at the Florian Hall in Boston. Last year, we hosted over 260 attendees and raised over $30,000 with 20% of the proceeds going to the Boston Firefighters Burn Foundation. This year, our goal is to raise $50,000 to support our mission of rescue, rehabilitating, and rescuing neclected and abused cats and dogs. We will be donating 20% of this year's gala proceeds to the Firefighter Cancer Support Network of Massachusetts in memory of Firefighter Pete Kannler.

Pete Kannler was a Chelsea Firefighter who passed away on September 3, 2016 from job related cancer. Pete was a great guy and well known in the fire service and EMS industry. He was a great friend and supporter of Survivor Tails, and even walked the runway for our first annual gala.

The Calendar Guys from the Boston Firefighters Burn Foundation will walk the red carpet with our adoptable dogs to promote them for adoption. The event, cohosted by Channel 7 Boston investigative reporters, Cheryl Fiandaca and Mary Schwager, will also feature music by DJ Eliot Ness and Greater Boston Firefighters Pipe & Drum, delicious buffet dinner, photo booth, and silent auction packed with amazing items.

We invite you to be a part of this gala, and hope you will consider sponsoring through one of the many options on the following page. Twenty percent of this year’s gala will be donated to the Firefighter Cancer Support Network of Massachusetts, while the remainder will go to costs inccured for vetting, transport, training, and other everyday costs here at Survivor Tails.

Survivor Tails Animal Rescue is an all volunteer, 501(c)3 registered non-profit who exists to rescue, rehabilitate, and rehome unwanted, abused, and neglected cats and dogs. Survivor Tails is a foster-based animal rescue and therefore has no brick and mortar facility. Survivor Tails does not discriminate on breed, age, or health status and we believe that all animals deserve a second chance at life. Proceeds from Rescue Fever will go into our “Paws in Pain” fund to help cover major medicals and unexpected veterinary costs. Please visit www.survivortails.org for more information!
