5th Annual Beacon Gala & Silent Auction

 

On Thursday, October 26, 2017, Beacon Charter Schools will hold our Fifth Annual Gala and Silent Auction to celebrate the achievements of our student artists, faculty, and staff at St Ann Arts and Cultural Center-- 84 Cumberland Street, Woonsocket 02895 @ 6:30PM. It’s been an amazing year!  Our schools continue to be among the most successful in the state and our arts programs earn more critical acclaim each year.

The Annual Gala & Silent Auction is a Beacon tradition that allows us to raise funds to support our schools. The funds raised at our Gala are critical to sustaining the high quality of our arts and academics programs. The event will be catered by our wonderful culinary students. There will be a silent auction, musical performances, a wine-bottle pull, children's costume ball, and we will be raffling off a pair of brand new Harley Davidson motorcycles (more details on the evening's events below). Although the online Silent Auction will open on October 16th, we encourage the Beacon Community to attend the Gala because many auction items will be available exclusively at the event on the 26th. 

WHAT'S NEW? 

OUR THEME THIS YEAR IS "MASQUERADE"  

Our Visual Arts students will be creating fanciful masks for you to purchase ahead of time or at the event for $5 (Masks are included with sponsorships).

We invite you to interpret this theme however you would like in your choice of dress. Fanciful dress and Masquerade Ball appropriate attire is encouraged but not required. There will be a prize for the adult who best interprets the masquerade theme in their attire.

NO SITTER? NO PROBLEM! 

CHILDREN'S COSTUME BALL

We are having a Children's Costume Ball on the Lower Level of the venue. Children 5 and up will have dinner and a dance party with several fun characters. While you are upstairs supporting Beacon and bidding on some great items, let us entertain the kids. There will be a costume contest.

HIS & HER HARLEY DAVIDSON RAFFLE

We are raffling off TWO Harley Davidson motorcycles this year! Tickets will go fast, we only have 250. You can purchase tickets by contacting tgo@beaconart.org, or by coming into Beacon during normal business hours. 

WINE PULL

You'll be purchasing a $25 bottle. Your bottle and an enclosed gift card are guaranteed to be worth more than $25.

EARLY BIRD TICKET PRICING!

Adult tickets purchased before 10/23 will be $25. 10/23 and after will be $35.

Children's tickets purchased before 10/23 will be $7. 10/23 and after will be $10. (If there are multiple children in a family attending, this will cap at $20)

Starting on October 16, 2017, Beacon Charter Schools will be auctioning off a number of fun and unique items to bid on to raise money for our organization - and the more items we have the more money we can raise, so we're asking for your help.

The gala starts at 6:30 pm. Heavy hors d'oeuvres will be made and served by the culinary students. Cash bar. Entertainment provided by the jazz band and glee club.
