Did you know that on average our costs associated with each dog that we save are $200-$300 above what we charge for an adoption fee? The costs of veterinary services often times greatly exceed our fee even in a healthy dog, let alone a dog that has many medical issues that need to be resolved.
In addition, did you know that LPDR also currently has five sanctuary dogs in our care? These are dogs that have high medical needs and are unable to be "adopted" in the traditional sense. These dogs live with their wonderful foster families for the rest of their life and LPDR takes care of their medical expenses.
