CITYarts and Global Goods Partners: Stronger together as we both reach out globally - CITYarts with youth and GGP with women

From Jan. 15th-April 30th, CITYarts will be auctioning off a number of items to benefit our youth and CITYarts summer projects, including original artist editions created for CITYarts. In celebration of Global Goods Partners' 14th Anniversary, we are featuring many items donated to us to highlight the beautiful work women around the world do and to to help GGP enhance their livelihood. CITYarts mission:

 

CITYarts engages young people and professional artists in the creation of public art. Through this creative process, CITYarts empowers youth and connects them locally and around the world to become active participants in transforming communities. 


OUR IMPACT

CITYarts has created over 320 projects that have transformed communities and impacted over 200,000 kids, collaborated with more than 500 artists, orchestrated workshops in 86 countries and produced 5 Peace Walls around the world partnered with over 1,500 sponsors, and engaged over 500,000 volunteers in the process. 


CITYarts' projects frequently foster community revitalization by galvanizing businesses, schools, and community organizations into developing youth programs and constructing playgrounds and gardens.

Our work, our resources and our resolve are focused on bridging gaps, opening doors and providing opportunities for artisan women to join the international marketplace.

As a not-for-profit social enterprise, Global Goods Partners (GGP) is committed to providing sustainable jobs for women—widely proven to be the key to community development and family wellbeing. In partnership with women-led, community-based organizations, GGP taps into the rich well of skill and artistry that is passed from one generation of women to the next. We invest all proceeds from product sales in developing sustainable market access as well as providing training and funding to enable our partners to prosper and thrive well into the future. As a 501(c) 3 organization, all proceeds are directed toward expanding the capacity of our artisan partners.

Since GGP first launched in 2005, we have partnered with over 60 artisan groups in more than 20 countries throughout Asia, Africa, and the Americas, helping to design and bring to market the fair trade, handcrafted products they produce. Each artisan that creates products for GGP earns reliable, fair living wages and gains experience that can add benefit to all aspects of her life.
