Unique OCEAN Lovers Gift! VINTAGE celluloid 2-blade Pocket Knife, with an inlaid Ship image. One side features the famous STEAMSHIP "SS Queen of Bermuda" and the other shows "Atlantic Ocean" . The "Queen of Bermuda" was a famous British Luxury Ocean Liner, operated by the Furness Bermuda Line - and known as "THE MILLIONAIRE'S SHIP", well-known for its luxury and service on the route between New York and Bermuda (which ran from 1933 to 1966, authenticating the date of the Knife). During World War II, it served as a Troop Transport Ship. Following the War, it returned to passenger service and was modernized. (Famous guests were reported to include Harry Truman, Cary Grant, and Noel Coward.) The Ship is easily recognized by its red-and-black smokestack. To commemorate Ocean Voyages, Travelers had the opportunity to purchase memorabilia onboard.) This Vintage Pocketknife is in excellent condition and appears to have never been used. Both blades are clean, snap open easily, and close tightly (using a manual opening mechanism). When closed, the Knife is 3" long; fully extended is 6.5" (with stainless steel blades).
