Songwriting Lessons for Kids.

One-hour Online Songwriting Class and Online Songwriting Playdate with kids at JALY Home orphanage in India. (Also possible to add kids in another country of your choice or your friends around the world.)

Includes the following preparation materials in addition to a 1 hour private online songwriting or vocal lesson:

1. Intro to Songwriting Video Class (Three 5 minute 'getting started' videos.

2. Intro to Songwriting E-Book by Shelly Wade. Included tips on how to read and write catchy melodies, make unique rhymes, and build storytelling and lyrical skills.

3. Vocal Warm Up recordings for daily exercise.

4. How to read and write music in 1 hour Ebook by Shelly Wade.

Shelly Wade is a solo artist, songwriter, and sought-after vocal coach based in NYC. She performs regularly throughout the NYC area, both as a soloist, and as lead singer of The Shelly Wade Band, Shelly Wade & The So-N-So's (A Cover Duo/Band), The 718's(60's/70's Rock), and The Dime Store Romeos (Old Time Country). 

In addition to her work on stage, Shelly also operates a Young Artist Program, a branch of Shelly Wade Studios, where she educates and gives young musicians opportunities to write, record cds, and even transcribe their own songs, as young as three years old. Shelly has provided also provided programs for esteemed NYC companies such as The Metropolitan Opera Guild, The Town Hall, Children's Aid Society, and Manhattan School of Music. Shelly is a signed artist and songwriter for Endo Music Inc., whose clients include CBS, Nickelodeon, TLC, and many more. Her voice can be heard in the ending credits theme song on the hit Nickelodeon show, LOUD HOUSE! Click to listen here. As a volunteer songwriter for 'Songs of Love, Inc.', Shelly also writes and produces personalized songs for children in-need.

Shelly holds a Master's Degree in Vocal Performance from Manhattan School of Music, where she studied with voice with Arthur Levy and Cynthia Hoffman. She also holds a Bachelor's Degree in Music Education (K-12 Certified, NY) and has been teaching privately for over ten years. As an accomplished opera singer, she has performed roles such as “Cherubino” in Le Nozze di Figaro and “Jenny Hildebrand” in Kurt Weill’s Street Scene.

Shelly's young artists have gone on to work for Disney, as well as starring in major network commercials.  She works with students as young as three years old, who have written and recorded their own songs, to teen and adult vocal students who may be auditioning for high school, college, or broadway. Her vocal coaching empowers singers with a natural, supportive, and safe technique as they discover their unique sound.  They perform regularly in NYC venues such as The Duplex and The Bitter End.
