Item Description
"Let Me Be Your Star," written by Tony and Grammy Award-winning Marc Shaiman and Scott Wittman, closes Smash's first episode of season one. Sung by Megan Hilty and Katharine McPhee, "Let Me Be Your Star" became the anthem for the NBC musical dramedy, acting as the soundtrack for the two women as they attend a callback to play Marilyn Monroe in the musical Bombshell.
Shaiman and Wittman are currently writing songs for the new musical adaptation of Some Like It Hot, which is set to begin performances at Broadway's Shubert Theatre in November.
This handwritten musical phrase of "Let Me Be Your Star" is signed by Hilty, Shaiman and Wittman.
