CARE's mission has been to save the lives of homeless dogs and cats since 1992 - 20 years in 2012! We continue to demonstrate that responsibly managed animal sanctuaries provide a compassionate and humane alternative to the mass euthanasia of unwanted pets. For 14 years, CARE has operated a licensed, no-kill sanctuary providing homeless cats and dogs a quality life in cage-free, spacious quarters, with good food, responsible veterinary care, love and gentle handling regardless of age, health or adoptability. Hand in hand with our sanctuary operations, CARE seeks responsible, loving homes for rescued pets, supports community spay/neuter efforts, provides help and guidance to those who rescue animals, and educates the public toward more loving, permanent relationships with their pets.
