The Berkeley Athletic Fund (BAF) has been raising funds for athletics at Berkeley High School for twenty five years. BAF was started in October, 1985 by a group of parents who were concerned about the impact of Proposition 13 on school budgets. The small group of dedicated volunteers raised enough money to preserve all the teams and keep the busses rolling to games in 1985. They decided to continue with an on-going community support group and established the Berkeley Athletic Fund. Thanks to their efforts BAF has continued to support over 1000 student athletes in nineteen sports and over forty teams.
