ISSUE Project Room is a pioneering nonprofit art and performance center that provides artists with a dynamic environment in which to create and perform new artistic practices. Established in 2003, ISSUE provides opportunities for artists to challenge creative practices in music, sound art, literature, film, video, dance, theater through residencies, commissions, performance and community engagement opportunities and recording space. In 2008, ISSUE Project Room was awarded a 20-year rent-free lease to the historic McKim, Mead & White designed jewel box theater at 110 Livingston Street. ISSUE has raised $2.3 million to fund the first phase of construction of its new home. ISSUE Project Room is now raising funds for continued programs and engineering and architectural designs.
