Since this "public school of choice" opened its doors in 1997, Frontier Academy has become the leading K-12 school of its kind in Weld County, Colorado. A charter school serving some 600 families from campuses in west and mid-town Greeley, the institution is a genuine point of community pride. Comprised of three buildings on two sites, Frontier Academy manages its resources skillfully and prudently. Frontier satisfies all state accreditation requirements for schools of its type; its students consistently score highly on the ACT and Colorado Student Assessment Performance (CSAP) exams. Enrollment exceeds 1,200 students, from kindergarten through senior high school (K-12). Now, Frontier Academy is planning to bolster its exemplary teaching and learning model through significant capital improvements on both campuses.
