Kings Mountain Associated Parents (KMAP) is an all-volunteer, non-profit organization that coordinates the parent-lead groups at Kings Mountain Elementary School (KMES) to maintain long-term success for this award winning school and its students. KMAP has taken over and expanded the duties of the previous fundraising organization at KMES known as Kings Mountain Education Fund. KMAP incorporates the goals of fundraising for KMES programs, promoting the school, and advising the Kings Mountain Children's Center (KMCC) after-school program into a single non-profit organization. The purpose here is to focus strategically on educational excellence for this small rural school while maximizing the school's limited volunteer resources.
