The Green Bay West Rotary Club is one of 34,000 Rotary service clubs in 165 countries worldwide. On a global basis, Rotary has lead the fight to eradicate polio in our lifetime. This campaign by Rotary was launched in 1985 to immunize the world'??A?s children against polio. In partnership with the World Health Organization, the Center for Disease Control and UNICEF, polio cases have dropped 99%. India has now been polio free for over a year. Rotary members have contributed in excess of a half billion dollars and countless volunteer hours administering drops to children worldwide to reach our objective of total eradication. Within the Green Bay community, our 30 member Club makes donations to several local charities such as Big Brothers, Big Sisters, Literacy Green Bay, the Mauthe Center and the Boy Scouts. We sponsor charity dinners for such organizations as Ben'??A?s Wish and perform local outreach by providing CO2 detectors, participating in the reading buddy program at Lincoln Elementary and bell ringing for the Salvation Army. As a Club, we meet every Tuesday morning at 7:30AM for breakfast and a speaker at the Holiday Inn on Ramada Way. Guests are very welcomed.
