The Malden YMCA - which serves Everett, Malden, and Medford, MA - was founded in 1881 making it one of the oldest associations in the country. Our mission is to strengthen the foundations of community and support individual needs by providing programs and services that support youth development, healthy living and social responsibility. At the Malden YMCA's main facility in Malden and four youth community outreach centers (the Linden and Newland Street Centers in Malden, the Medford Youth Center - formerly Medford Boys and Girls Club - and the Willis Ave. Center in Medford), over 23,000 youth, families and seniors benefit from programs such as swimming, fitness and health enhancement, sports leagues, leadership training, STEM education, teen leadership development, music education, college readiness, preschool and school age child care and summer camps, chronic disease prevention, and an extensive healthy food and pantry program addressing critical hunger needs in our communities.
