APGO represents academic obstetrician-gynecologists in the United States and Canada. It occupies a unique position in offering contemporary, applicable teaching tools for physician-educators, and learning mechanisms for faculty, students and residents, with the ultimate goal of providing optimum health care to women. Together with the Council on Resident Education in Obstetrics and Gynecology (CREOG), a committee of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG), APGO and CREOG offer this annual professional development conference to help women's health educators teach skills and techniques, healthcare innovation and policy initiatives, and mentor colleagues, residents and learners in the areas of teaching and research.
