Cowichan Valley on Vancouver Island for 36 years. We provide a comprehensive suite of wrap-around services for women and children who have experienced violence or abuse in intimate relationship or families. Services include a transition house where women with and without children can stay for up to 30 days to escape imminent violence. We have victim services for short-term crisis support and safety planning; counselling for women and children; and, a four-month personal development pre-employment program for women that helps with life skills, self esteem and self confidence to help women overcome barriers to work. We have multiple support groups that range from working with youth in schools to parenting to education around trauma.
