WPNS is a co-operative, parent participation, play-based preschool focusing on the social emotional development of children. Our goal is to instill a love of learning in both our children and our families. Our care and instruction provide tools that prepare children to learn confidently and to develop strong thinking skills as they work their way through preschool and ready themselves for kindergarten and beyond. Our preschool provides a cooperative environment that encourages a love of learning, respectful communication and community. We recognize and appreciate the unique qualities of each child and structure our learning environment and curriculum to meet the individual needs of our young students. As a play-based preschool, we also encourage creativity and fun in a safe and natural environment where fresh air and riding a tricycle are as important as learning the ABCs. WPNSs parent participation model provides an environment that allows for children to learn confidently and for parents to develop strong support systems. Our environment offers our families the opportunity to be involved in their children's education, as well as develop supportive relationships that carry on for years. These provide both children and adults a network that has proven invaluable to the WPNS community, both past and present.
