Contact Us

The Fayetteville lions Club was chartered on May 10, 1923, with 23 members. We currently have 50 members and like all GOOD LIONS CLUBS, we are always looking for more GOOD, DEDICATED men and women to invite into our club. The Fayetteville Lions Club meets each Wednesday at noon at the Fayetteville Clarion Inn. Membership in the Lions Club is by invitation only. Any member can bring a prospect to the Wednesday luncheon meeting twice as the guest of the Club. After the second meeting, a membership application from the secretary is presented for the new prospect to complete and submit for approval by the Club's Board of Directors. A membership fee of $25.00 is also to be submitted. International, State, District, Club dues and MEALS are $151.00 per quarter. This is billed in advance to each active member. Not included are fees for the Christmas party in December and for the officer Installation Banquet in June where spouses are invited as special guests. Becoming a Lion is an honor and a privilege, and like all privileges, carries the responsibility to support the Club through attendance, participation and service. The Fayetteville Lions Club members work various fund raising activities and special projects including the annual Auction-of-the-Air, White Cane Days, Flag project, and the Lions Challenge for Sight 5k Run. 100% of this income is used to help those in need. Just some of the projects we support include: Eye Exams and Eyeglasses for over 100 local needy individuals District 7-I Diabetes Awareness and Service Center Lions World Services for the Blind Mid-South Sight & Hearing Leader Dogs for the Blind Melvin Jones Foundation Fayetteville Salvation Army Fayetteville Boys and Girls Club Lifestyles Girl/Boy Scouts Richardson Center Arkansas Girls and Boys State Purchase of Optech Vision Tester and Ambco Audiometer for Fayetteville Schools Support of an elementary school program for sight-impaired students Participation in City of Fayetteville's "Curb the Clutter" street clean-up program College scholarship for Lions District 7-I residents who are visually impaired All of these projects and accomplishments were made possible by Lions working together collectively to fulfill our motto: "WE SERVE"
