MARE is a private, non-profit organization founded in 1957 to find adoptive families for CHILDREN waiting in state foster care, including sibling groups and children who are traditionally harder to place. We do this by recruiting, educating, and advocating for FAMILIES throughout the adoption process. MARE gives children and teens in foster care their best chance to join a supportive family before they "age out" of state care on their own.
