Come-and-go 6:00 - 9:00 p.m. Hors d'oeuvres and Cocktails Rise is please to honor Dr. Richard Wainerdi at Gifts from the Heart this year. Dr. Wainerdi has served as president and CEO of the Texas Medical Center since 1984. His hard work, dedication and leadership have been paramount in transforming TMC into the world's largest medical center. Dr. Wainerdi was instrumental in the granting of land for the new Rise School building. He is the proud great-grandfather of two Rise students. Rise is excited to welcome Lord Wedgwood to Gifts from the Heart this year. In town to unveil his new Wedgwood and Bentley Collection in North America, he will sign pieces and visit with our donors. Lord Wedgwood is particularly pleased to be at our Gifts from the Heart event as he has a child with Down syndrome and shares The Rise School's passion for serving those with disabilities.
