Why does the Parents' Association of IPS hold a Benefit?

The Spring Benefit is a fun-filled evening to honor the faculty, administration and support staff who make IPS such a warm and nurturing place. The Spring Benefit is also the largest PA fundraising effort of the school year. Over the past 3 years, the funds raised from the Benefit and its associated auction have provided financial aid for over 160 children, supported student and faculty enrichment, and contributed to the long-term viability of the school.

Who attends the Benefit? 

All IPS faculty, staff, parents of alumni, current, and incoming students, and supporters of the school are invited to the Benefit. Bring your friends for a wonderful night out. Last year, over 500 guests attended the Benefit so we hope you will join us!

What happens at the Benefit?

The evening begins with cocktails and bites and an opportunity to bid on Silent Auction items. Further into the evening, we will have an exciting live auction and a celebration of this year’s milestone award recipients.  Following the celebration, we will enjoy more cocktails and bites, and conclude the Silent Auction. Don’t forget to check out at the registers!

How do I buy tickets to the Benefit?

Ticket can be purchased online here. If you haven’t already participated in any of IPS’s other events, such as, The Nutcracker Raffle, Mom’s Night Out, and Dad’s Night Out, you will be asked to create a BiddingforGood account and enter your credit card details in order to purchase your Benefit tickets. Once you have created this account, you will also be able to bid on our Online Auction which opens on April 16th.

Advanced ticket purchase is recommended as tickets purchased at the door will incur a $50 surcharge.

Is there an opportunity to sponsor the Benefit?

Absolutely! Faculty Sponsors and Event Sponsors will be listed in the Event Program and the IPS Annual Giving Report. These contributions are fully tax deductible. Click here to be a Faculty and/or Event Sponsor.

How will I be bidding at the Benefit?

On the evening of the Benefit, Silent Auction bidding will be conducted via handwritten bid sheets and Live Auction bidding and pledging will be conducted via paddle raising. 

What happens if I win a Live and/or Silent Auction item? 

After the auction closes at 9.30pm on April 30th, auction item winners will receive email notification. Please follow the signs to “Check-Out” prior to leaving the Benefit to claim your items and settle any pledges. Please email the IPS Spring Benefit Committee should any issues arise.

Can I bid on the Online Auction while at the Spring Benefit? 

This year, in the 2 weeks leading up to the Benefit itself, over 150 wonderful items will be auctioned off EXCLUSIVELY ONLINE. This way, auction participation is accessible even for families who are unable to attend the Benefit. The Online Auction will begin on April 16th at 7am and close April 30th at 9.30pm.   

While you can bid on this Online Auction at the Benefit via your mobile device, we HIGHLY recommend if there are online items you desire, to enter a Maximum Bid. Set it and forget it! This way, you can enjoy your evening and bid on the Silent and Live Auction items at the Benefit.

Can I set a Maximum Bid on my Online Auction item so I don’t have to worry about it at the Benefit?

Absolutely, and we recommend it! By setting a Maximum Bid, the BiddingforGood system places incremental bids on your behalf – each bid being the minimum increase above any competing bids, up to your Maximum Bid. You can set your BiddingforGood account to notify you when you have been outbid to ensure you do not miss out on your Online Auction item.

What happens if I win an Online Auction item?

After the auction closes at 9.30pm on April 30th, winners will receive email notification. Online Auction items can be picked up at your IPS location on the date noted on your email notification. Please email the IPS Spring Benefit Committee should any issues arise.
