Spring Garden Gala Event
Wild about Flowers Gala History
In 2004 Bowman’s Hill Wildflower Preserve was looking for a way to fund raise and friend raise. The idea of having an elegant gala with the little twist of wearing muck boots to take a wildflower walk in the Preserve was born. It evolved into a “black-tie and muck boots” event and the tradition of this very successful fundraising Gala has been growing and touching people in our community now for 12 years.
The Preserve is a non-profit organization and all that we do here is made possible by supporters, friends and grants. The Gala has become the main fundraising event for the Preserve raising about $100,000 in 2014. Every year we aim to surpass the previous year and with this year’s focus on pollinators in danger we hope to achieve this goal with your help.
Come early to enjoy a fabulous cocktail hour, take a guided tour or stroll through the preserve enjoying our native wildflowers, check out the silent auction and then its time for an elegant dinner, live auction, dessert and plenty of dancing.
