Always Remember Year-long Campaign Kick-off Event, 2016 National Wreaths Across America Day

Always Remember, a local group, within the Wreaths Across America (WAA) network is Kicking off its year-long campaign to increase the wreaths placed on graves at Wood National Cemetery. This event and those to follow are meant to make the community aware and solicit donations for National Wreaths Across America Day that is December 17, 2016. 

The Hofbrauhaus is gracious to host our event. On February 1 those who donated $15 for a wreath received a 1 liter Hofbrau beer. Also, prize drawings for Admiral Game Tickets took place and gave delight to some out-of-town visitors.

However, during the whole month of February the Hofbrauhaus is hosting a Silent Auction on our behalf. The auction consists of a voucher from the House of Harley-Davidson in Milwaukee. Therefore, stop by often to bid and remember it is good to Bid Often and Bid High for the best results of winning.

The month-long kick-off ends on February 29, whereby a Hofbrau Marzen Keg tapping will take place and those donating $15 for a wreath will receive a .5 liter Gaufest mug with free beer from the keg for the evening. We hope to have additional prizes for the evening.

On February 1, we had the pleasure of State Representative Skowronski's company along with Jason Church of Senator Ron Johnson's office. We greatly appreciated their attendance.

For both evenings Federal, State, and Local officials have been invited to bring attention to what Wreaths Across America's Mission is...Remember, Honor, Teach about all those that have fought and died to Protect our Freedoms and Preserve our 'inalienable' Rights. Also to Remember, Honor, Teach about all those active within the Military and Veterans who have and are continuing to Protect and Preserve our Freedoms and Rights.

Therefore come, Remember your comrades in arms, Honor by raising a glass in memory of a fallen hero, and help us Teach by making the community aware of what all have done and are doing for us all! Above all Remember and Honor the 37,000+ within Wood National Cemetery by donating a wreath.
