There are no minimum age requirements.  If you are going to participate in the Live Auction, you will need a current Drivers License to receive your bidding number.   What are my transportation/parking options for getting to and from the event? Morgan Road Pavilion is conveniently located with easy access to 91 and the Mass Pike.  Free parking and handicapped parking are available.   What can I bring into the event? No coolers, alcohol, food, glassware or weapons of any kind may be brought into the event.  Only non-aggressive dogs that are leashed and vaccinated are allowed at Kanetoberfest.  Please NO retractable leashes.   What kinds of donated dog items are requested? New, unopened bags of dog food.  Canned dog food.  Treats made in the USA.  Leashes, collars and crates. Grain-free food is best.  Please no Ol' Roy or Beneful brand dog food.  Thank you for your donation! How does the Online and Live Event Auction work? Beginning October 1st, people can begin bidding on auction items at www.BidForKanes.com.  Items include gym memberships; health and beauty services; pet services like grooming, 6 months of dog food, boarding and dog training; restaurant gift cards, limo services, time shares and much much more! Bidding will continue at the Live Event Auction at Kanetoberfest on 10/7.  All winning bids will be selected at the live event.  If you place a bid during the Online Auction, your bid will be entered at the live event.  You may also select a maximum bid.  Winners will be notified and immediate payment is required.   Only cash and credit cards will be accepted for payment .  NO personal checks. How can I donate items to the Online Auction? We are accepting auction donations until October 28th.  We are accepting gift cards, gift certificates, antiques, jewelry and more.  To submit a donation, go to www.BidForKanes.com and click on the Donate Item box in the right hand column.  You will be asked to answer a series of questions about the item, it's value and enter a picture.  Once we receive your submission, we will respond as quickly as possible regarding acceptance.  How can I contact the organizer with any questions? Kane's Krusade is a 501 (c)(3) nonprofit serving the Greater Springfield MA area.  We keep families together, one dog at a time through the distribution of Canine Assistance, Resource and Empowerment (C.A.R.E.) Kits to low-income families at risk of surrendering their dogs to a shelter due to housing, economic and/or behavioral issues.  C.A.R.E. Kits are custom designed for each dog and include everything from food, toys, spay/neuter, vaccinations, vet assistance, dog training and tenant advocacy.  Since our beginning in 2012, we have assisted more than 1200 dogs and their families.  Our families are the elderly, disabled, veterans, unemployed and other vulnerable populations.  We bring services into homes in underserved neighborhoods.
